What we collect
- Your Instagram-scoped user ID (a number Instagram gives our app, not your password) and the messages you send our bot.
- Your Instagram name, username and a copy of your profile picture, which Instagram shares with apps you message. We show them on your account page.
- The reels you share with us: the caption, a transcript of the audio and the finds we pull out of it.
- What you do in your stash: ratings, notes, collections, done/to-do status.
- Your email, only if you add it for receipts.
- Billing records from our payment providers (Razorpay, Dodo Payments). We never see your card or UPI details.
How we use it
To sort reels into your stash, show you insights, send you replies on Instagram and run your subscription. To understand a reel you share, we fetch it from its public Instagram page, keep only its audio long enough to transcribe it, and delete the video and audio straight away. AI services process the audio, caption and transcript on our behalf: OpenRouter routes them to Google (transcription) and Anthropic (sorting). When you ask Gugu a question, it goes to Anthropic through OpenRouter with the relevant parts of your stash; if Gugu needs the web to answer, a short search query (never your notes or account details) goes to a search provider through OpenRouter. We use PostHog for product analytics: which pages you open and buttons you press, and errors the site hits. It may also record how you move through a page to help us fix confusing screens; inside your account those recordings blur out all text and anything you type, so they never show your saves, notes or questions.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. We don't post on your behalf.
Shared reels
Reels are public content. When several people share the same reel, we process it once and reuse the result; nobody can see who else saved it.
Deleting your data
Send DELETE MY DATA to our bot, or remove the app in your Instagram settings. We delete your account, stash and collections immediately. Billing records we must keep by law are retained for the legally required period.
